Dodgers Try To Continue Winning Ways
The Dodgers will try to continue their best start at home since moving to Los Angeles when they play host to the San Diego Padres tonight in the second game of a four-game series.

The Dodgers improved to 7-0 at home with an 8-5 victory over the Padres at Dodger Stadium Thursday night, overcoming a 5-4 deficit with two runs in the seventh inning and two more in the eighth.

The victory broke a tie with the 1969 Dodgers for the Los Angeles Dodgers record for consecutive victories at home to start a season.

The Dodgers' franchise record for consecutive home victories to start a season is nine in 1946, when the team was in Brooklyn. In 1947, the Dodgers went 8-0 at Ebbets Field to start the season.

A Las Vegas-themed fireworks show will follow tonight's game.

Breckin Meyer, a cast member of the film "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," which opens today, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
