PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Ichiro Suzuki was sidelined for the third straight day with fatigue and was examined by a doctor while the Seattle Mariners routed the San Diego Padres 18-3 on Thursday.

Suzuki, who returned from the World Baseball Classic on March 26, was lightheaded earlier in the week. He played four games with Seattle after helping Japan win its second World Baseball Classic.

Late Thursday, the team said results of Suzuki's exam would be available Friday.

San Diego's Chris Young labored for 3 2-3 innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and four walks.

Seattle's Carlos Silva ended his camp on a good note, limiting the Padres to two runs on six hits. Endy Chavez batted leadoff in place of Suzuki and went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, including a home run.
