--C Nick Hundley went 4-for-4 Sunday and fell a homer short of becoming the first Padre to ever hit for the cycle. Three of Hundley's hits came against the Giants' 2008 Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum. But Hundley had faced Lincecum in high school summer leagues and in Pac-10 games while he was at Arizona and Lincecum was at Washington. "Most success I've ever had against him," said Hundley.
--3B Kevin Kouzmanoff, who had been dropped to sixth in the order after starting the season 1-for-7 in situations with runners in scoring position while batting behind Adrian Gonzalez, had two singles against Lincecum to raise his career mark against the right-hander to 10-for-26 (.385). His 10 hits are three more than any other major leaguer has against Lincecum.
