--The Padres' rainout in Philadelphia on Monday night will create a travel problem for the club later in the season. Among the possible makeup dates are May 11 on a scheduled off day between Houston and Chicago and July 23 on an open date leading into a trip to Washington and Cincinnati.
--1B Adrian Gonzalez homered Sunday, giving him four in the Padres' first six games of their road trip to New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco. Gonzalez has hit safely in 11 of the Padres' last 12 games and has reached base in all 13 games. --INF Edgar Gonzalez has two hits this season, one each in his two starts. Both are triples, the only two triples of his major league career. Gonzalez's primary duties thus far has been pinch-hitting, where he is 0-for-7 with a walk.
