--1B Adrian Gonzalez made news Tuesday night, although it was not with his bat (he did stretch his hitting streak to 10 straight) or Gold Glove. He stole the first base of his career in the sixth inning. It took him 558 games to get No. 1. Gonzalez hit safely for the 18th time in his last 19 games and has reached base in all 20 Padres games this season.
--CF Scott Hairston hit a two-run homer Tuesday of Rockies LHP Jorge De La Rosa. He is 13-for-28 with three doubles, three homers and 10 RBIs in his last seven starts in center and as the leadoff hitter. --Brothers Adrian and Edgar Gonzalez both homered April 26, marking the second time they've done that, the last time being last Sept. 11. Both times, Edgar homered as a pinch hitter.
