Baek, who had been out since the start of the season with a forearm strain, allowed five runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings when he left the mound. He will return to San Diego Monday for further evaluation.
--LHP Arturo Lopez was sent back to Class AAA Portland Sunday night just hours after he gave up three runs on four hits in a one-inning mop-up at Houston. Carlos Lee and Ivan Rodriguez both homered off Lopez. In four appearances lasting 2 1/3 innings with the Padres, Lopez gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks. That's a 19.29 ERA.
