MEDICAL WATCH:
C Michael Barrett (strained right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 8. He will be out for one to two months. RHP Clay Hensley (right labrum surgery in September 2007) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 21. He began a minor league rehab assignment in late April.
RHP Mark Prior (right shoulder surgery in April 2007) went on the 60-day disabled list retroactive to March 21. He had said he hoped to join the Padres rotation around June 1, but he had to shut down a throwing session April 1. He threw again without incident on April 10.
LHP Justin Hampson (sore left shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 21. He could be back before the end of April.
RHP Tim Stauffer (right shoulder strain) went on the 60-day disabled list retroactive to March 21.
RHP Carlos Guevara (right groin strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 21.
